Scott Hildebrand for Sheriff
Hello, my name is Scott Hildebrand. I am the son of Janet and Ray Hildebrand. For the first 8 years of my life I was raised in Newport, then my family moved to Alexandria. I was a police explorer in Alexandria, during my high school years. I graduated from Bishop Brossart High School and attended Northern KY University.
I was a volunteer firefighter for Alexandria and then Southern Campbell Fire Department for approximately 10years.
I wanted to be a Police Officer for as long as I can remember and in February 1996 my dream came true, I was hired by the Dayton Police Department. From there I was hired in 1997 by the Campbell County Police Department.
In 2001, I was in a motorcycle accident and was unable to work and left police work. After 6 months I still had a desire to serve my community. So in 2008 I was hired by the Cold Spring Police Department. Since being hired, I have enjoyed serving the Cold Spring community.
I have been happily married to the most wonderful wife, Michelle for 22 years. I have 5 daughters that range in ages from 22 to 13. We have lived in Alexandria area for all 22 years.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors. I have been an active member of the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) since 1997. As an active member, I serve as the State Trustee for the local Campbell County Lodge and I serve as the Chairman of the Trustees at the state level. I have raised money for Special Olympics by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge for over 10 years and have received the King status (top male fundraiser) in 2012 and 2013. I enjoy participating in the Cops N Kids program and have volunteered with the program for more than 10 years.
In my many years of experience both as a firefighter, EMT, and Police Officer, it energizes me to help people. I strive to do what’s right for the community and the people that I serve on a daily basis. I never hesitate to help others, on or off duty.
